Registered Office Address

Every company in Singapore must have a registered office address from the date of incorporation. This is the official address where all communications and notices from government agencies (ACRA, IRAS, MOM) are sent.

Strict Requirements

  1. Physical Location: It must be a physical address in Singapore. P.O. Boxes are strictly prohibited.
  2. Accessibility: The office must be accessible to the public during normal office hours (at least 3 hours during business days).
  3. Record Keeping: It is typically where the company's statutory registers and records are kept.

Virtual Offices

Since many startups and foreign founders do not need physical office space immediately, using a "Virtual Office" service provided by a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) is the standard approach.

For S$100 - S$300 a year, the CSP allows you to use their address as your registered office. They will receive your government mail, scan it, and forward it to you via email.

Residential Addresses (Home Office Scheme)

If you are a local resident, you can use your home address (HDB or private property) under the Home Office Scheme.

However, you must apply for prior approval from HDB (for public housing) or URA (for private property). The business must be small-scale, not generate excessive noise/traffic, and you cannot hire more than two non-resident employees to work there.
